Facilitation

All CASL staff are professionally trained facilitators. Facilitators are useful to ensure a productive session by keeping exercise groups on track to acheive their goals. Facilitators do not teach or add their own opinions, but rather guide the discussion to incorporate all perspectives and ideas.  CASL facilitates groups of all levels, from senior officers and Deputy Assistant Secretaries, to Congressional staff and university students. Group size varies as well, depending on the exercise. Most groups range from 30 participants, to small break-out groups of 6-10 participants. CASL facilitators adjust their facilition styles and techniques to address the needs of the group and exercise objectives.
